PRACTICES
Get Ready to Ride!
When does the practice season start?
The season officially starts on July 1 each year. Our first practice will be on July 1st. Our last practice will be the first week of October 2025. Our team uses the TeamSnap app to schedule team practices and for the most up-to-date team communication. Please contact the Head Coach for a TeamSnap invitation.

How many days per week does the team practice?
We practice three (3) times per week. Generally in the pre-season summer months we practice on Tuesday/Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Once races start, practices change to Monday/Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings (on non-race weekends). Weekday practices are at Wilson Creek trails, and Saturday practices are at Bogus Basin. Practices typically last about two (2) hours.

Can parents ride with the team during practice?
Yes, we welcome parent riders and greatly appreciate the support of parents during practices! With multiple practice days and times, plus a growing number of riders, we are always looking for parents to help coaches lead practice rides.
Parents MUST receive a Level 1 Certification through the NICA Coach Licensing Program to ride with the team during practices. The certification process is simple and requires a background check and concussion training as well as watching a few instructional videos followed by a short quiz. Parents are responsible for the registration and background check fees.
